About us
We’re Manuela and Oscar, and we take great care of our charming little group of houses nestled in the heart of nature. We look forward to making your stay truly special.
In a quiet corner of Val Genova stands the Antica Vetreria, a small village of holiday homes that has welcomed lovers of the Brenta Dolomites for decades, both in summer and winter.
A bit of history
At the foot of the Church of Santo Stefano in Carisolo, the ‘Crystal Factory’ (‘Fabbrica dei Cristalli’) was founded in 1805 by the Pernici and Bolognini families, merchants from Riva del Garda.
This unique enterprise was inspired by the quartz veins found in the slopes of the Rendena mountains.
Master glassblowers began arriving from Bohemia, a region renowned for its crystal production for centuries.
The factory employed around a hundred people, including skilled craftsmen and local workers.
From their expert hands came the ‘galanterie’ in the Bohemian style—refined, artistic objects intended for sale in the main cities of the Po Valley.
The esteemed manufactory also received important recognition, including the silver medal at the ‘Industry Prize’ established in Milan by Napoleon in 1811–12.
At the Antica Vetreria, the buildings of the old production complex still stand, now welcoming loyal holidaymakers who return year after year to enjoy their stay.
Visitors can also experience the site’s vibrant industrial past by exploring the historical collection, which showcases the nineteenth-century heritage through ancient tools, period photographs, and precious artifacts.
We take great care of our homes in the heart of the Sarca Valley, welcoming guests with the simple, genuine warmth of the Trentino tradition.
